Giving Graduation Favors at Your Graduation Party

A graduation is an important event. Whether you are graduating high school or college, you will likely have a party that celebrates your graduation and shares your success with family and friends. Party favors are usually associated with birthday parties, showers and weddings, but they don’t have to be limited to that. Some people also use graduation favors to thank their guests for sharing their special day.

When you graduate, people are likely to give you congratulatory gifts. Even though those gifts are common, they shouldn’t be expected. However, most people will give the gifts because they care about you and are proud of your accomplishments. A simple verbal thank you and thank you note in the mail can show them you appreciate their gift, but giving favors can go one step further to express your appreciation.

The graduation favors you give away to your guests can be just about anything you want them to be. If you look around, you can even find special favors that are themed for graduations so your guests can take them home and keep them as a remembrance of your special day. You may even want to keep one for yourself to put in your scrapbook so you can enjoy it at a future date. Being able to share the favors you gave away at your graduation with your future children can be a great thing.

As your guests leave, you can give them the favors and verbally thank them for coming, as well as for the gift they gave, if they gave one. Seeing your guests off personally one by one will show them that you really do appreciate that they were there to share your special day. The last thing you want is for your guests to feel unappreciated. If you sit and chat with your group of friends and ignore everyone else, they will feel unappreciated, even if you give them a favor.

Your graduation should be a special time for you. Your family and friends will want to share that special day with you by attending the party and giving you gifts. They are proud of your accomplishments and want you to know it. In turn, you appreciate their attendance and gifts and should want them to know it too. Giving graduation favors, in addition to the verbal and written thank you, can let your guests know you are happy they came.
